FAQs

How do I order my travel money?

Ordering travel money from Asda is easy – you can purchase your travel money at your convenience.

1. Order your Asda travel money online quickly and easily by simply choosing the currency you want to buy and the amount, then tell us where and when you want it delivered. Choose to get it delivered direct to your home or for collection at one of our in store bureau.

3. Alternatively, pick up your travel money in store whilst you shop at one of our in store travel money bureau. Visit the in store page to find your nearest bureau.

Please note: You must be a UK resident and your home address must be the same as your payment card billing address. A home landline number and personal email address is required for all orders.

What payment types do you take?

Payment can be made using Visa/Visa Delta, MasterCard, Maestro or Solo. Please note: No Debit card handling fees charged. Credit card handling fee of 1.5% (min £4.00 – max £15.00).

What currencies can I order?

All major currencies including Euro, US Dollar, Swiss Francs and many more. If you can’t see what you need listed, or don’t know which currency to buy, just call 0845 9000 955†.

How can I check the latest exchange rates?

When you click ‘Order travel money’ you will be taken through to our travel money site where you can check any of our currency rates before you buy.

Where can my order be delivered?

For security reasons, we can only deliver your foreign currency to the UK billing address of your payment card. Alternatively you can choose to pick up your currency from one of our in store bureau.

Can I choose a delivery date?

You can choose to have your online or phone order delivered to your home or to an in store Asda Travel Money Bureau, where you can pick it up. You can place your order up to 14 days in advance of the collection date. 

For home delivery, you can choose Next Working Day delivery if you order before 2pm Monday to Thursday.

For bureau collection, you can order Euros and US Dollars from 24 hours prior to collection and all other currencies from 72 hours prior to collection, provided Travelex receives and subsequently confirms your order by 2.00pm on the day you order. 

What are the delivery charges?

All Asda Travel Money orders over £500 are delivered free. Between £50 and £499.99 there is a charge of £3.95. You can choose to collect in store for FREE. 

What happens if I’m not at home?

Because your travel money has to be signed for, a card will be left which gives details of where the order can be collected. This will normally be your local Royal Mail depot or sorting office. You must take this card and identification with you when you collect your travel money.

Can I get my travel money in store?

Yes, you can now choose to either collect your order, or get your travel money instantly at one of our in store travel money bureau.
